[Remote] Senior Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HirePlace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will play a critical role in building dependable, scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance application features using established design principles and modern engineering practices
- Produce clear, maintainable, and efficient code while owning components or services within a functional area
- Help ensure system stability, scalability, and security through sound engineering approaches
- Contribute to technical discussions, offering thoughtful input on design and implementation decisions
- Perform code reviews, promote best practices, and assist in elevating overall team capability
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions
Skills
- Demonstrated experience developing backend systems in production environments using technologies such as .NET and Java
- At least 4 years of experience designing distributed systems and working with cloud-based infrastructure
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions from initial concept through production release
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence technical direction through collaboration rather than authority
- Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers to improve skills, code quality, and development practices
- A proactive mindset focused on delivering reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions
