[Remote] Associate Legal Counsel
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Fictiv is a global manufacturing and supply chain company that enables organizations to scale globally. The Associate Counsel provides legal support in corporate and commercial matters, including contract negotiation and regulatory compliance, while mitigating legal risks in alignment with business needs.
Responsibilities
- Advise on various legal issues relating to company business practices
- Review, draft, and assist in the negotiation of various contracts and agreements, corporate policies, and standard operating procedures
- Assist with regulatory compliance issues
- Review and update confidentiality agreements
- Assist in developing legal training materials
- Provide support in maintaining executed agreements and other corporate documents
- Additional duties as required
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering or other technical degrees are a plus)
- Juris Doctorate is required
- Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing to practice law in the United States
- Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong analytic, critical thinking and sound judgment abilities with meticulous attention to detail required
- Ability to travel up to 5% annually (globally) for meetings and conferences
- Previous legal experience is a plus, but not required
- Spanish/Japanese bilingual abilities and/or experience living in Japan or working with Japanese companies are a plus
- Position can be 100% remote, but the ability to work at least one day a week from one of our facilities (Schaumburg, IL; Dayton, OH; Fraser, MI; Bellaire, MI; or Queretaro, Mexico) is a plus
