[Remote] Account Manager, Personal and Home Care (West Coast)

Clariant is a Swiss-based global specialty chemicals company, and they are seeking an Account Manager to drive growth within their Personal and Home Care division. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor to key customers, developing new opportunities, and ensuring a seamless customer journey while managing contracts and pricing to secure long-term customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen customer relationships to increase satisfaction, trust, and long-term retention
• Expand share of wallet and deliver year-over-year growth through targeted commercial strategies
• Improve profitability by leading contracts, pricing, and overdue management activities, provide actionable customer demand insights to support portfolio and planning decisions
• Reduce churn by identifying risks early and executing retention plans
• Maintain a high-quality CRM pipeline that supports growth targets
• Deliver accurate forecasts that enable effective business planning and resource allocation
• Accelerate new business by partnering with Business Development Managers on opportunity scouting and pipeline expansion
• Ensure excellent customer experience by coordinating seamlessly with Customer Service teams
• Operate effectively in a coordinated, multi-point engagement model to strengthen customer outcomes
• Foster internal trust by communicating clearly, meeting commitments, and driving cross-functional alignment
• Prioritize key actions that maximize sales impact and support growth objectives

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Business, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of account management experience, ideally within the Personal and Home Care industries
• Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple customer touchpoints
• Strong sales-driven mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
