[Remote] Actuarial Analyst

Actus Actuarial Search is a highly respected organization within the Property & Casualty insurance industry, seeking an Actuarial Analyst. This role involves performing complex analytical projects, developing technical expertise, and contributing to strategic business decisions alongside experienced leaders.
Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial analyses, modeling, and data interpretation using R, Excel, and other analytical tools
- Develop reports, presentations, and recommendations that support business strategy and decision-making
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders, and other business teams on key initiatives
- Present analytical findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization
- Support the development, validation, and enhancement of actuarial methodologies and models
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen analytical capabilities
- Maintain high standards of documentation, quality control, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives that support business objectives
Skills
- 2–5 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience
- Progress toward CAS credentials, typically 3–6 exams completed
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Excel and R
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Python, VBA, SAS, STATA, or similar analytical tools
- Familiarity with databases, reporting tools, and data management concepts
