[Remote] Network Engineering and Architecture

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Info Way Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support their client Microsoft. The role focuses on advanced network engineering tasks and strategic network architecture, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Dedicate approximately 75% of the time to advanced network engineering tasks and on-call duties, including managing all edge services and the MPLS mesh in datacenters, overseeing private Azure express route circuits, and administering DNS services hosted in Azure
• Allocate around 25% of the time to strategic network architecture and design duties
• Take a leading role in an on-call Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) rotation to swiftly address and resolve network incidents
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate advanced network tools for enhanced monitoring, rapid response, and efficient remediation
• Execute the planning, implementation, and maintenance of routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing to ensure optimal network performance, security, and reliability
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network issues, managing escalations and providing mentorship to junior engineers when necessary
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and provide advanced training to stakeholders to ensure effective network management and incident response

Skills

• 10+ years of extensive experience in network engineering, with a strong track record in managing global network infrastructure and implementing enterprise network automation solutions
• Deep expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, firewall configurations, and overall network infrastructure management
• Advanced proficiency with network automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Python) for developing and deploying robust automation solutions
• Significant experience using and configuring network monitoring tools, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques
• In-depth knowledge of network security, including VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and best practices for securing network infrastructure
• Strong ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members, partner engineering teams, and stakeholders
