Paralegal - Remote Position
MARKS, O’NEILL, O’BRIEN, DOHERTY & KELLY, a premier insurance defense law firm, with offices in Philadelphia, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Cherry Hill, NJ; Wilmington, DE; Towson, MD; Tarrytown, NY and New York City, is seeking to hire an experienced paralegal to support one or more of the Firm’s offices. Essential Functions:
- Preparation of pleadings including answers to complaints, motions, etc.
- Preparing and monitoring the case calendar, adhering to compliance deadlines for multiple clients.
- Reviewing medical records and preparing summaries.
- Ability to track and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm or in insurance claims.
- Familiarity with PA, NJ, DE, MD and/or NY laws and procedures.
- Prior insurance defense litigation experience preferred.
- Applicants with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, document management software and Nuance.
- Deadline and detail oriented.
