Remote Lead UI/UX Designer - Product Innovation
About the Role
Our client, a dynamic digital product studio, is seeking a creative and experienced Lead UI/UX Designer for a fully remote position. This role is instrumental in shaping the user experience and visual design of innovative digital products. You will lead the design process from conception to execution, working closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to create intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces. The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, modern design trends, and a proven ability to lead design initiatives. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving the design direction of exciting new products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the UI/UX design process for new and existing digital products, from wireframing and prototyping to high-fidelity visual design. Conduct user research, usability testing, and market analysis to inform design decisions. Create intuitive and engaging user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries. Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and ensure design feasibility. Mentor and guide junior designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their growth. Present design concepts and rationale effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX design trends, tools, and technologies. Champion user-centered design principles throughout the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of leading design projects. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design for web and mobile applications. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, etc. Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and usability best practices. Experience designing for complex applications and digital platforms. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting. Experience in leading design teams or mentoring junior designers is required.
