Position Overview – Certified Pharmacy Clerk (Remote Data Entry)

arenaflex is seeking a detail‑oriented, technology‑savvy Certified Pharmacy Clerk to join our Central Fill and Mail Order facility (Location #1145). This full‑time, permanent role offers a guaranteed 25‑40 hours per week and provides a unique blend of hands‑on pharmacy support and remote data‑entry responsibilities for all Ontario arenaflex pharmacies. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed pharmacists, assist in the preparation and processing of prescriptions, and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our electronic pharmacy systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Profile Management: Assist the pharmacist in updating patient records and entering prescription details into the pharmacy computer system, adhering strictly to provincial regulations and patient‑confidentiality standards.
  • Prescription Preparation: Under direct pharmacist supervision, retrieve stock bottles, count, pour, restock, label, and price prescriptions, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Remote Data Entry: Accurately input prescription information for all Ontario arenaflex pharmacies, leveraging the latest electronic health record (EHR) platforms to support a seamless, province‑wide workflow.
  • Insurance & Accounting Tasks: Prepare third‑party insurance claims, process invoices, and make accounting entries using arenaflex’s computerized financial system.
  • Inventory Management – Prescription Drugs: Order, receive, tag, and stock prescription medications and related supplies, following strict product storage procedures and temperature‑control standards.
  • Inventory Management – Over‑the‑Counter (OTC) Products: Order, receive, tag, and stock OTC items in line with the merchandising plan, create product signage, and conduct roaming checks to ensure optimal shelf presentation.
  • Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in other warehouse areas as needed, including order picking, packing, and shipping activities to maintain overall operational efficiency.
  • Technology & Robotics Collaboration: Work with arenaflex’s automation team to troubleshoot basic robotic dispensing equipment and report any system irregularities for rapid resolution.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completed a pharmacy diploma from a recognized community college or equivalent post‑secondary institution.
  • Current certification or licensure as required by the province of Ontario (e.g., Pharmacy Technician certification).
