Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking passionate, tech-savvy, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Remote Customer Experience Specialists. In this role, you will be the voice and digital backbone of our customer support operations, helping travelers navigate their journeys while contributing to the development and enhancement of our web-based service platforms. If you have a knack for problem-solving, an interest in aviation technology, and a desire to work from home with a competitive hourly rate of $30/hr, this opportunity is designed for you.

This is not a traditional call center role. As a Remote Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, you will blend customer service excellence with technical acumen, working alongside our engineering and product teams to ensure our digital platforms run smoothly, efficiently, and delightfully for every user.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer support via phone, email, chat, and social media channels, addressing inquiries related to bookings, flight changes, baggage, loyalty programs, and general travel needs.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers experiencing technical issues with our web and mobile platforms, triaging problems and escalating to engineering teams when necessary.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provide feedback on user experience issues, bug reports, and feature requests gathered from customer interactions.
  • Participate in the development of proof-of-concept and minimum viable product (MVP) tasks to validate new features and digital architectures that improve the customer journey.
  • Write, review, and contribute to front-end and back-end code that powers our customer-facing applications and internal tools.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and Lambda to build, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions.
  • Analyze customer needs and translate them into software design and performance requirements that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Debug existing software, identify root causes of defects, and implement timely fixes to maintain service quality.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation improvements, and software development process standards that elevate the entire engineering culture.
  • Design and code new software programs or modify existing platforms to add innovative features requested by customers and stakeholders.
  • Implement fault-tolerant and highly available architectures that withstand peak travel seasons and unexpected demand spikes.
  • Work within Agile development methodologies, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and debug web application and infrastructure issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve them quickly.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in AWS, web development frameworks, and aviation technology trends.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, candidates must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Strong experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
  • Solid understanding of containerization and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in database structures and SQL query language.
  • Experience working with Linux/Unix operating systems in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, security, and the protection of personal data.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with customer support platforms, ticketing systems, and CRM tools.
  • Multilingual capabilities are a strong plus.
