Position Overview – Lead Data Analyst (Remote)

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated Lead Data Analyst to join our Business Operations Analytics team. This entry‑level, full‑time role is based remotely (with a preference for candidates in California) and offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $80,000 per year. You will be the analytical bridge between product, engineering, marketing, and executive leadership, turning raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Performance Reporting & Visualization: Serve as the primary liaison for cross‑functional partners to interpret platform performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend data‑driven actions.
  • Metric Design & Implementation: Lead the creation of robust, repeatable KPI frameworks and ensure consistent measurement across streaming services, advertising, and subscriber growth.
  • BI Development & Dashboarding: Build and maintain high‑performance dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, delivering real‑time insights to stakeholders at all levels.
  • ETL Architecture & Data Modeling: Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines (SQL, SparkSQL, Hive) and construct dimensional models in Snowflake or Redshift to support analytics workloads.
  • Single Source of Truth (SSOT) Governance: Partner with the Product team to define, standardize, and enforce data definitions, ensuring a unified view of product performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business partners to translate analytical needs into technical specifications, and collaborate with data engineering to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Project Management: Prioritize and manage multiple analytics projects, delivering on time while maintaining high quality and clear communication.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Guide junior analysts, conduct training sessions, and promote best practices in data analysis and visualization across the organization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years focused on analytics design and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL; hands‑on experience with SparkSQL, Hive, or similar big‑data query languages.
  • Strong background working with OLAP databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
