  • Team Management: Lead a distributed team of analysts, data scientists, and engineers; recruit top talent, mentor senior staff, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Abuse Detection & Mitigation: Oversee the design and deployment of machine‑learning models that identify account takeovers, spam, coordinated inauthentic behavior, and emerging threats such as generative AI‑driven attacks.
  • Data‑Driven Insights: Produce actionable intelligence for product and policy teams, translating raw data into clear dashboards, trend reports, and risk assessments for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Policy, and Business Operations to embed safety signals into product features, content recommendation systems, and advertising pipelines.
  • Incident Response: Lead rapid response to high‑severity abuse incidents, coordinating with legal, communications, and external law‑enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with global privacy and safety regulations; prepare transparency reports for governments and the public.
  • Innovation & Scaling: Drive continuous improvement of detection accuracy, latency, and scalability, balancing precision with user‑experience considerations.
  • On‑Call Rotation: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule, including occasional weekend coverage, to maintain uninterrupted protection of the platform.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • At least 2 years of experience leading teams that tackle large‑scale risk, abuse, or fraud challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience building and operationalizing data pipelines and machine‑learning models for detection or classification tasks.

  • Hands‑on expertise with SQL, Python, R, or MATLAB for data extraction, analysis, and model development.
  • Experience investigating massive datasets to uncover patterns of malicious behavior and presenting findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Background in policy development or regulatory compliance related to online safety.
  • Passion for combating malicious activity and a deep understanding of the evolving threat landscape, including generative AI misuse.
