The role involves engaging with advanced language models to enhance their linguistic capabilities and ensure their accuracy in various scenarios.

Responsibilities

Converse with the model on language scenarios Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness Capture reproducible error traces Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics Skills Expertise in Japanese grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, hiragana, katakana, phonology, and pragmatics Ability to challenge advanced language models on topics like verb conjugation, sentence structure, honorifics, formal and informal speech, regional dialects, kanji readings, and the nuances of Japanese writing systems Experience in documenting failure modes to improve model reasoning A degree in Japanese language, linguistics, or a closely related field Peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or hands-on linguistic analysis projects Clear, metacognitive communication skills Benefits As a contractor you’ll supply a secure computer and high‑speed internet; company‑sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
