Remote Solar Energy Policy Advisor

The Remote Solar Energy Policy Advisor will research current and proposed legislation, assess their potential impact on the solar industry, and develop strategic recommendations for our client and their partners. Key responsibilities include drafting policy proposals, preparing regulatory comments, and engaging with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and community groups. You will monitor policy developments, identify emerging trends, and provide expert analysis to internal teams and external audiences. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional research, writing, and communication skills, capable of working autonomously in a remote setting. A proven ability to translate complex policy issues into clear, actionable strategies is essential. A Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Law, Economics, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly solar, is highly desirable. Responsibilities: Research, analyze, and interpret solar energy policies, regulations, and legislation. Develop and advocate for effective policy solutions to support solar energy deployment. Engage with government officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders to influence policy outcomes. Prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the solar industry. Identify opportunities for policy advocacy and strategic engagement. Collaborate with legal and technical teams to ensure policy coherence and effectiveness. Provide expert guidance on solar energy policy matters to internal teams and clients. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Science, Law, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy policy, preferably focused on renewable energy and solar. Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes. Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills. Proven ability to communicate complex policy issues effectively. Demonstrated success in advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
