About arenaflex and the Opportunity Ahead

At arenaflex, we believe that compassionate communication is the foundation of better healthcare. As a recognized leader in the pharmacy benefit management space, arenaflex partners with health plans, employers, and individuals across the country to make prescription coverage simpler, clearer, and more accessible. Our mission is rooted in the idea that every member deserves to feel heard, understood, and empowered when navigating the often-complicated world of insurance and medication coverage. We are currently expanding our remote support teams and are seeking motivated, empathetic, and dedicated professionals to join us in delivering best-in-class service from the comfort of home.

This is more than a customer service job — it is a chance to make a measurable difference in people’s lives every single day. Whether you are helping a senior understand their Medicare Part D plan, guiding a new mother through the mail-order prescription process, or assisting a caregiver in resolving a coverage question, your work at arenaflex will be meaningful, impactful, and deeply rewarding. If you live in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, or Tennessee and thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment, this fully remote opportunity may be the perfect fit for you.

Position Summary

As a Remote Pharmacy Customer Care Specialist on the arenaflex team, you will serve as the first point of contact for members seeking assistance with their pharmacy benefit plans. Your primary responsibility will be to handle inbound calls from members, providing clear and accurate information about prescription insurance, medication coverage, mail-order pharmacy services, and plan options. By combining your customer service skills with your growing knowledge of pharmacy benefits, you will help simplify what can often feel like a complex healthcare experience.

This role is part of arenaflex’s rapidly growing PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) division, where the focus is always on empathy, accuracy, and first-call resolution. Our call center culture is high-energy, supportive, and committed to excellence. We are passionate about helping our members, and we are looking for professionals who share that passion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member Support: Respond to a high volume of inbound calls from members inquiring about their pharmacy benefit plans, prescription coverage, copays, formularies, and mail-order services.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve member questions, concerns, and complaints on the first call whenever possible, ensuring a positive and seamless experience.
  • Education and Guidance: Clearly explain plan benefits, coverage details, and pharmacy options in a manner that is easy for members to understand, regardless of their familiarity with insurance terminology.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all member interactions, inquiries, and resolutions within the company’s CRM and call tracking systems in compliance with HIPAA and company standards.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, governmental compliance guidelines, and arenaflex’s internal policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training sessions, coaching, and professional development opportunities to stay current on plan changes, industry trends, and best practices in customer service.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional departments to escalate complex issues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Performance Goals: Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to call handling time, quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and first-call resolution rates.

What We’re Looking For: Required Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience interacting with customers in a professional setting. This may include call center, retail, customer service, hospitality, or military experience.
  • Education: A verifiable High School diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Home Office Setup: Reliable high-speed internet connection that meets arenaflex’s approved speed requirements, along with a dedicated, secure, and distraction-free workspace.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, friendly, and empathetic manner.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computers, navigating multiple software applications, and learning new systems quickly.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a set schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our contact center operates 7 days a week, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. EST.
  • Compliance Commitment: Strong understanding of, and commitment to, maintaining HIPAA standards and all other regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year or more of experience working in a call center environment, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or a related field.
  • Six months or more of prior work-from-home experience, demonstrating the ability to thrive in a remote setting.
  • Healthcare certification such as a Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, or similar credential is a plus.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued, though not required.
  • Prior experience with pharmacy benefit management, insurance, or Medicare is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Empathy and Compassion: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to connect with members from all walks of life.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess situations and provide effective solutions quickly.
  • Resilience: The ability to remain calm, patient, and professional when handling difficult conversations or high-pressure situations.
  • Active Listening: A commitment to truly hearing what members are saying, asking clarifying questions, and responding thoughtfully.
  • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-Oriented Attitude: A collaborative spirit and a willingness to support teammates and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with change and able to adjust quickly to new processes, technologies, and plan updates.
