About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of National Security and Public Service

arenaflex is a fast‑growing, mission‑driven organization that partners with the Federal Government, the Department of Defense, and the broader intelligence community to deliver innovative solutions that protect our nation’s most critical assets. Our work spans the full spectrum of federal support—from strategic budgeting and acquisition to cutting‑edge technology implementation—ensuring that every program we touch runs smoother, faster, and more securely. At arenaflex, we believe that extraordinary outcomes start with extraordinary people, and we invest heavily in the growth, wellbeing, and success of each team member.

Why This Role Matters

The Data Entry Operator II position is a cornerstone of arenaflex’s effort to enhance communication, coordination, and oversight for the Fisheries Financial Management Centers (FMC). By maintaining and refreshing critical Google Sites, ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards, and delivering high‑quality content, you will directly support the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and its mission to allocate resources efficiently across the nation’s commerce and environmental programs. Your work will enable subject‑matter experts to access accurate, up‑to‑date information, thereby accelerating decision‑making and strengthening the overall impact of federal fisheries initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Google Site Stewardship: Conduct comprehensive annual reviews of the Acquisition Google Site and the CORE Policy Handbook site, verifying 508 compliance, correcting broken links, standardizing formatting, and updating content to reflect the latest policies and procedures.
  • Content Refresh Leadership: Lead end‑to‑end site refresh projects, from initial needs‑assessment surveys with subject‑matter experts to final approval by FMC leadership, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Technical Editing & Design: Apply expert knowledge of Google Sites, web design principles, and technical editing to produce clear, concise, and visually appealing pages that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Data Entry & Coding: Interpret a variety of source documents, select appropriate coding procedures, and accurately enter data into designated systems, exercising judgment and attention to detail.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Liaise with division contacts, FMC leadership, and external partners to gather feedback, resolve issues, and secure sign‑off on refreshed content.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Continuously monitor sites for accessibility compliance, implementing corrective actions promptly to maintain adherence to federal standards.
  • Support Routine Tasks: Perform occasional Data Entry Operator I duties, such as routine data transcription, basic document formatting, and simple site updates, as needed.
  • Travel & Training: Participate in up to five travel events per year—each not exceeding five days—to attend training sessions, conferences, or on‑site meetings that enhance project outcomes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of related federal experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of government processes, documentation standards, and inter‑agency collaboration.
  • Proven expertise in Google Sites, including site architecture, page creation, widget integration, and user‑permission management.
  • Strong technical editing skills, with the ability to produce error‑free, concise, and audience‑appropriate content.
  • Experience designing web pages that meet Section 508 accessibility guidelines, including proper use of alt text, heading structures, and color contrast.
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex documents, select appropriate coding schemes, and enter data accurately into federal systems.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or additional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Accessibility, Google Workspace Certification).
  • Experience working within acquisition or procurement environments, particularly within federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) processes, budget formulation, and financial management concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to enhance visual elements of Google Sites.
  • Strong project‑management capabilities, including the use of tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for translating technical jargon into clear, user‑friendly language.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of productivity and accountability.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous review of content, links, and formatting to ensure flawless site performance.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactively identify issues, propose solutions, and implement fixes without extensive supervision.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, from technical experts to senior leadership.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift and new challenges emerge regularly.
  • Time Management: Balance multiple projects, meet deadlines, and deliver high‑quality results under pressure.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Focus on the end‑user experience, ensuring that site visitors can locate information quickly and efficiently.
