Why This Role Matters

In the fast‑paced world of streaming, accurate and timely data is the lifeblood of strategic decisions. Our Senior Data Entry Analyst will be the guardian of data integrity for subscription‑related initiatives, ensuring that every metric—whether it’s price changes, subscriber migrations, or new data captures—is recorded flawlessly. This role directly supports cross‑functional teams, from Product and Business Operations to Finance, helping them deliver seamless experiences to our subscribers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Governance: Oversee the ingestion and archival of data requirements related to subscription data flows, including price adjustments, subscriber migrations, and new data collection initiatives.
  • Issue Identification & Resolution: Generate and prioritize queries based on business logic, often collaborating with legal and compliance teams to identify customers who should receive alerts or remediation.
  • Cross‑Team Communication: Translate business requirements into technical specifications for engineering teams, providing concise updates on progress and potential roadblocks.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Build and maintain robust data on subscriber changes and the underlying data model, ensuring consistency across all downstream systems.
  • Project Coordination: Manage project timelines and cross‑functional delivery, preparing for major business events such as product launches, pricing updates, and promotional campaigns.
  • Process Optimization: Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance by developing clear communication processes and functional playbooks.
  • Collaboration with Data Product & Data Quality Engineering: Contribute to the design of resilient data pipelines that minimize data incidents and improve overall reliability.
  • Analytics Enablement: Support the creation of dashboards and reporting tools that empower stakeholders to make data‑driven decisions quickly.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with SQL, particularly within an ETL pipeline environment.
  • At least 2 years of analytical experience, demonstrating the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical or analytical concepts to a broad audience, including non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Chartio.
  • Strong relational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred (Nice‑to‑Have) Qualifications

  • Understanding of analytics concepts such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and predictive modeling.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • Experience with Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools for managing data pipelines.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data stack technologies.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect large data sets, spot anomalies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Detail Orientation: Meticulous attention to data accuracy, ensuring that every record aligns with business rules.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with engineers, product managers, legal, finance, and operations teams.
  • Problem‑Solving: Proactive in identifying root causes of data issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Communication: Clear and concise in both written reports and verbal presentations, tailoring messages to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities shift quickly based on market demands.
