Your work will directly influence how senior leaders make decisions that affect flight operations, crew scheduling, customer experience, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, extract, and ingest data from a wide variety of internal and external sources, including flight logs, crew rosters, customer feedback systems, and IoT sensor streams.

  • Design and maintain robust, modular data pipelines using modern ELT/ETL frameworks that can handle high‑volume, high‑velocity data workloads.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to develop automated reporting solutions that empower divisional leaders with actionable insights.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and best‑in‑class practices to continuously improve data processing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Support the development and maintenance of data‑driven applications and dashboards that serve cross‑functional initiatives, such as predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, and crew optimization.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide knowledge‑sharing sessions on data engineering concepts, cloud platforms, and analytical best practices.

  • Thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities, ambiguous requirements, and tight deadlines, delivering high‑quality results under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Need to Succeed)

  • 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience designing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance‑tuned data models.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python, SAS, or comparable programming languages for data manipulation and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize reporting database environments, including indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.

  • Commitment to data security and privacy, consistently applying best practices to protect sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and to ask insightful questions that drive deeper analysis.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and at least 18 years of age.
