Why This Role Matters

The Global Merchant & Network Services (GM&NS) Revenue Management team drives the single largest source of revenue for arenaflex: merchant discount revenue. This team works closely with cross‑functional partners to set optimal pricing, enhance merchant satisfaction, and fuel growth across the organization. As a Part‑Time Remote Data Entry Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Canada‑focused Merchant Rebate Revenue function, ensuring accurate data capture, insightful analysis, and seamless collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly Canada‑wide merchant rebate revenue reports, tracking actual performance against forecast and identifying key drivers of variance.
  • Develop and maintain merchant rebate revenue scorecards for the Canada region, providing clear visualizations for senior leadership.
  • Drive data standardization and communication improvements across multiple pricing teams to ensure consistency in reporting and analysis.
  • Support external audits by investigating identified issues, coordinating with regional pricing teams, and managing remediation actions.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc data analyses to assess rebate rate trends, uncover actionable insights, and recommend process enhancements.
  • Maintain high‑quality data entry standards in Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial datasets.
  • Collaborate with finance, analytics, and merchant services partners to translate raw data into strategic recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of complex financial models that support revenue forecasting and scenario planning.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, payments industry, or related finance roles.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) is mandatory.
  • Analytical Ability: Demonstrated capability to build complex financial models and extract value‑added insights from large data sets.
  • Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with SAS, SQL, or similar data‑query languages is required.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and meticulousness in data entry and analysis.
  • Work Ethic: High motivation, a “win‑the‑day” attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of merchant discounting concepts and rebate structures within the payments ecosystem.
  • Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements in the Canadian financial sector.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to lead initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Fluency in French is a plus, given the bilingual nature of many Canadian markets.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving Mindset: Ability to challenge conventional approaches and devise innovative solutions to complex data challenges.
  • Customer‑Centric Focus: Demonstrated enthusiasm for understanding and addressing client needs and pain points.
  • Influence & Leadership: Capacity to guide cross‑functional teams, even without formal authority, to achieve shared objectives.
  • Adaptability: Comfort navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities while maintaining high performance.
  • Integrity & Ethics: Commitment to upholding arenaflex’s core values of honesty, transparency, and respect.
