Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Application Development Lead who will champion data‑entry excellence while steering complex Salesforce solutions across our worldwide network of stores. This part‑time, remote position blends meticulous data‑entry responsibilities with high‑impact architectural design, ensuring that arenaflex’s Salesforce ecosystem—encompassing Sales Cloud, B2B Commerce, Experience Cloud, and related platforms—delivers reliable, scalable, and user‑centric experiences. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical acumen, hands‑on development expertise, and a passion for mentoring junior engineers, all while embodying arenaflex’s core values of inclusion, stewardship, and relentless improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data‑Entry Excellence: Accurately input, validate, and maintain high‑volume transactional data across multiple systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal standards.
  • Solution Architecture: Design, develop, and deploy end‑to‑end Salesforce solutions that support critical business capabilities such as order management, partner onboarding, and customer engagement.
  • Requirement Gathering: Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize functional and non‑functional requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver incremental value in fast‑paced, DevOps‑enabled environments.
  • Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, reusable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integration patterns.
  • Integration Management: Build and maintain robust integrations with external systems (ETL tools, NiFi, MuleSoft, etc.) to synchronize data across the enterprise.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify technical risks early, propose mitigation strategies, and conduct thorough testing to ensure solution stability.
  • Platform Governance: Contribute to the evolution of arenaflex’s Salesforce governance model, establishing standards for data models, security, and change management.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Lead a small team of application engineers, providing guidance, code reviews, and career development support.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver clear status updates, technical documentation, and executive‑level summaries to both internal partners and external vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of innovation by proposing enhancements, automating repetitive tasks, and staying abreast of emerging Salesforce features.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands‑on IT experience with a focus on enterprise‑grade application development.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience building and supporting Salesforce B2B Commerce solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, data modeling, and custom development (Apex, LWC, Visualforce).
  • Proven track record of delivering large‑scale, high‑impact projects within an Agile/DevOps framework.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, including experience with ETL tools, NiFi, MuleSoft, or similar middleware.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into elegant technical solutions.
  • Effective communication skills—both written and verbal—and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Self‑starter attitude with a passion for continuous learning and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team of developers, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Hands‑on experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components (LWC) and modern front‑end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CPQ, Order Management, or other specialized clouds.
  • Certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce B2B Commerce Architect, or related credentials.
  • Background in retail or consumer‑focused industries, especially in fast‑moving environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management within Salesforce environments.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Apex, SOQL, SOSL, Lightning Web Components, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration tools.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to dissect business processes, identify gaps, and propose data‑driven solutions.
  • Project Management: Skilled in scope definition, risk assessment, and timeline management.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with product owners, QA, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritizing end‑user experience and partner satisfaction in every design decision.
  • Adaptability: Thriving in a remote, fast‑changing environment while maintaining high productivity.
  • Leadership: Coaching junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing, and driving team performance.
