Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to work on the Data, Research, Analytics, and Business Operations team. This part‑time, remote role offers an exciting blend of data engineering, statistical modeling, and business collaboration. You will partner with data engineers, analysts, product managers, and external vendors to develop robust data pipelines, build predictive models, and translate complex findings into clear, strategic recommendations for key business units such as Supply Chain, Customer Insights, Marketing, and Store Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple internal and external sources, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and opportunities that drive business decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using industry‑standard tools and best practices.
• Build, validate, and deploy statistical and machine‑learning models that address core business challenges, from demand forecasting to customer segmentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate model outputs into intuitive visualizations, dashboards, and actionable insights.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data science or analytics, preferably within a fast‑paced consumer‑focused environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, relational databases, and ETL processes; strong command of Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development.
• Machine Learning Expertise: Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end ML pipelines, including feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and deployment.
