[Remote] Business Immigration Paralegal
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Envoy Global is a leading innovator in the global immigration space, and they are seeking a Business Immigration Paralegal with NIV & PERM experience to manage high-volume labor certification cases. The role involves analyzing information, preparing immigration casework, and handling communications with clients and foreign nationals regarding their cases.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective document intake: i.e., review documents for validity and sufficiently analyze immigration status based on documents provided
- Ensure accountability for the drafting and monitoring of NIV & PERM casework
- Flag any potential/foreseeable case-related issues with Attorney and/or Senior Case Manager, in a timely manner
- Ensure accountability for the heavy drafting of case documents, statutory forms, and templated letters of support, plus a range of NIVs including petitions for key accounts/clients
- Track case progress using Envoy technology
- Flag any ideas for process improvement to the appropriate Attorney/Case Manager
- Swiftly draft responses to requests for information from government agencies
- Respond to client communication requests – either via client company representatives or directly with the foreign national
Skills
- 1-2 full years of experience working as a Business Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions
- Completed bachelor's degree – highly desirable
- A genuine interest in U.S. immigration, with a desire to treat clients & foreign nationals with respect and an empathetic approach
- Confidence with independent handling a range of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1 etc., and experience with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications preferred
- Experience working with a high volume of active and inactive cases at any one time
- Excellent written + verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar
- Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work
- Experience communicating directly with (HR staff) and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements, including work on key accounts/clients
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to adapt to state-of-the-art Envoy case processing software to monitor and record all visa petitions
- Ability to follow due process, templates, and to adapt to evolving innovation within the Firm, and industry
- Minimum Intermediate level proficiency with MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word)
