[Remote] Project Manager, External Engagement
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Penn State University is currently seeking a Project Manager in supporting Annual Giving, a key fundraising office for development. This role involves leading project management efforts, developing timelines for fundraising campaigns, and ensuring effective communication with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project management efforts for the Office of Annual Giving
- Develop timelines for Annual Giving fundraising campaigns and ensure timely completion of projects
- Work in concert with the External Engagement project management staff
- Act as a liaison with Development Communications
- Articulate Penn State’s needs, ambitions, and values through excellent informal and formal communications
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Experience planning projects and utilizing project management software such as Workfront
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to create and maintain an inclusive and respectful environment for all students and colleagues
- Excellent relationship building skills
- A proven ability to self-motivate and work both independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored
- Experience in annual giving, advancement, or nonprofit fundraising
- Familiarity with higher education fundraising structures and centralized/decentralized fundraising models
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing campaign calendars
- Knowledge of donor communications and multi-channel solicitation strategy
