Property Claims Desk Adjuster – Specialty Claims (Lifestyle)
Aviva Canada is dedicated to putting people first, fostering a culture of care, inclusion, and collaboration. The Lifestyle Claims Adjuster will manage claims involving watercrafts and trailers, ensuring timely resolutions and exceptional customer experiences during challenging moments.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze policies, appraisals, and technical reports to assess claim value and negotiate fair settlements
- Effectively manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in line with Aviva’s standards, with customer service at the forefront
- Create outstanding experiences for our customers, turning stressful situations into positive moments
- Operate within your authority, using your judgment to resolve claims efficiently
- Maintain detailed, accurate file records and adhere to all Aviva Specialty Claims protocols
- Work closely with various teams to produce good claims outcomes, participate in projects, come with a growth mindset, and share feedback to help us continuously improve
Skills
- Minimum 1-2+ years of previous claims adjusting experience. (Property experience preferred)
- Genuine interest in Lifestyle claims—whether it's, watercraft, RV's or travel trailers
- Progress toward or completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP/FCIP)
- A post-secondary diploma or degree
- Provincial Licenses for the Atlantic provinces
- Prior Property, or Specialty claims (trailers, RVs, watercraft) experience
- Experience with and demonstrated ability to effectively handle complex and high value claims
