Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • To design and develop industry best class SRE ecosystem following best practices of SRE, DevSecOps to improve stability, reliability and scalability of customer-facing solutions.
  • Develop scaffolding libraries that applications can use to interact with cloud native components seamlessly. .
  • Clients platform is microservices-based architecture. The SRE will work very tightly with the technology, product and operations leads to define the path we take for the next 3-5 years. It means, a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility.
  • Understand all layers of the Commerce applications and SRE landscape thereby analyse the impact of business requirements on various client’s global and local systems involved.
  • Keep observing trends outside and inside the organization, assist to formulate SRE strategies based on changes in the industry.
  • Work closely with Local functional teams to implement the SRE platform and best practices into the markets and define a paved path for the team to easily onboard applications into the SRE platform.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience:

  • Proficiency in Typescript/javascript and design patterns and hands on Terraform and AWS CDK ().
  • Good to have from below
  • Container technologies - Kubernetes, Docker, EKS/AKS, deployments of container solutions in cloud
  • Any public cloud but we use AWS
  • Logging tools - AWS Cloud watch, Splunk
  • Tracing tools – any tool
  • Service mesh tools - Istio
  • Other observability tools – Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK suite
  • CI/CD tools – CloudFormation,CodePipeline, CodeBuild,Jenkins, Git
  • Infrastructure as a code, configuration as a code – AWS CDK, Terraform
  • Investigate new technologies and device methodologies to onboard them in cloud ecosystem in an automated manner.
  • Modern DevOps mindset using best of breed open source and leading Infrastructure as Code SCM tools, for example, CDK, Terraform and Ansible.
  • Excellent understanding of Scalability processes and techniques.
  • Proven ability to work remotely with teams of various sizes in same/different timezones, from anywhere and remain highly motivated, productive, and organized.
  • Excellent command of English with good ability in spoken, written and presentation skills. Great email and Instant Messaging (Eg., Slack) proficiency.
