Channel Sales Team Lead
The Channel Sales Team Lead is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the strategy, execution, and scaling of Skylum’s Channel Sales direction. In this role, you will balance high-level strategic planning and team management with hands-on commercial execution. You will directly lead and grow a team of sales and account managers, synchronize critical operational processes across internal departments (including Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product, and Engineering), and personally lead high-stakes negotiations with our largest worldwide partners. This role requires an agile, proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses deep cross-cultural negotiation skills, and can seamlessly translate ambitious corporate goals into structured, revenue-generating reality. Requirements: - Deep expertise in Channel Sales, with a proven track record of successfully selling products through multi-tier partner networks and channels. - Strong B2B sales background, with demonstrated experience personally managing key accounts and leading/closing high-stakes corporate negotiations with partners worldwide. - Proven experience in team management, with a history of successfully leading, structuring, and motivating sales and account management professionals as a Team Lead or in a similar leadership capacity. - Exceptional proactivity and strategic agility, with a verified ability to operate effectively in fast-paced environments where priorities change quickly. - Strong critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to dive deep into partners' businesses and accurately assess different growth opportunities. - Demonstrated ability to build operational structure from scratch, specifically translating high-level business goals into clear plans, tasks, and KPIs. - Strong analytical and data literacy, with experience building and maintaining reports on pipeline metrics, revenue, and conversions. - Experience collaborating closely with other internal teams to align product offerings and partner contracts - Advanced skills in conducting business negotiations across different cultures and backgrounds. - Excellent command of English. - Willingness to travel. Highly preferred qualifications: - Experience scaling a sales direction or department within a product-based software company. - Deep understanding of eCommerce, retail, or digital distribution dynamics. Skills and competencies: - You systematically break down ambitious, high-level growth objectives and turn them into structured, executable plans for your team. - You are highly proactive and agile, never waiting for stability or directives, and instead driving the direction forward while remaining calm when priorities shift rapidly. - You apply sharp critical thinking to look past the surface, diving deep into your partners' businesses to thoroughly evaluate and unlock different growth opportunities. - You know how to hire, lead, motivate, and empower a team, equipping them with the right tools and holding them accountable to their individual plans. - You are a master negotiator with the executive presence and commercial acumen required to stand alone in critical negotiations and close major international accounts across different cultures. - You seamlessly align sales activities across different departments, communicating effectively to bridge legal frameworks, financial constraints, marketing promotions, product updates, and engineering timelines. - You possess a data-driven mindset, relying on hard data, analytics, and transparent pipeline and partner metrics to evaluate success and forecast revenue accurately. Responsibilities: - Develop and execute the strategy, sales channels and long-term department growth plans to hit the targets of the Channel Sales department. - Own the recruitment, hiring, management, and mentorship of the sales team members, ensuring clear goal alignment, tracking performance, and maintaining high team motivation to grow the department. - Personally oversee and develop key accounts, actively participating in and leading the company's most critical partner negotiations. - Synchronize operations across internal departments, ensuring seamless alignment on legal processes, financial workflows, marketing activities, product requirements, engineering timelines, and promotional activities. - Build, maintain, and analyze department dashboards, tracking critical metrics such as pipeline health, revenue performance and partner-related metrics. - Deliver regular, transparent reports about channel sales team performance, including weekly progress updates to the VP of Growth, and monthly/quarterly financial metrics to the Finance department.
