- Valid teaching certification with ESL endorsement or equivalent credential
- Experience working as either a General Education Teacher or ESL Teacher
- Strong understanding of second language acquisition and culturally responsive teaching
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
- Experience differentiating instruction based on language proficiency levels
- Ability to create supportive classroom environments that promote language development and student engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to English language learners, supporting their acquisition of both academic and social English
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ linguistic and academic needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to adapt curriculum and assessments
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to maximize learning outcomes
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
- Facilitate a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and celebrates multiculturalism
