Operations Associate (Direct Services) (f/m/x) - hybrid

To enable this high-performance every team member enjoys full autonomy over their location (we’re remote-first). Join our Direct team at the intersection of insurance, repair, and trade-in. You'll work closely with the eCommerce Expert leading the services portfolio, support the Head of Direct, and partner with Finance, Legal, Product, and Analytics. This is a high-exposure role for someone early in their career. You'll be in partner negotiations with insurance carriers, executive-level trade-in strategy, contract reviews, and the data work behind all of it. Who you are 1–3 years of experience in operations, analytics, or commercial functions: startup, scaleup, or fast-moving environment (marketplace, insurance, ecommerce, fintech, or similar) Hypothesis-first thinker who writes clearly and communicates directly, including across functions and with senior stakeholders. Comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing uncertainty, and balancing multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed. You've shipped at least one automation (Notion, Zapier, Make, Airtable, or scripts) and can describe what it replaced AI fluent: you use Claude or ChatGPT in your daily work and know how to iterate and when not to trust the output Fluent in English: other European languages are a plus You care about sustainability and want your work to matter Quantitatively confident: spreadsheets, modelling, and turning vague problems into concrete analysis; SQL, Python, or no-code tools are a plus Location & eligibility: This role is open to candidates based in Europe (including UK) only with a valid right to work. What you'll do Run operational and analytical work across Insurance, Extended Warranty, Repair, and Trade-In: pricing scenarios, margin analysis, partner reviews, and dashboards Find manual work and automate it: we expect one shipped automation by month three Drive cross-functional projects, keeping Finance, Legal, Product, and Analytics aligned Support partner negotiations with insurance carriers, repair networks, and trade-in partners Use prioritisation frameworks (e.g. RICE, Impact vs Effort) to sequence initiatives and communicate trade-offs Bonus: You have shipped a side project that took serious effort, whether a small business, a community, a research project, or a tool.
