What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Customer Care Representative - Remote, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering Inbound Calls: Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, or problems in a professional and service-oriented manner.
  • Making Outbound Follow-up Calls: Proactively contact customers to resolve issues, provide updates, or offer additional support.
  • Documenting Call Details: Accurately document all actions during the call in proprietary software, ensuring seamless handoffs to the next team member.
  • Regular Performance Reviews: Participate in regular 1x1s and huddles with leadership for performance review and coaching.

  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Provide timely, professional, and courteous service to customers, with effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear Communication Skills: Articulate responses clearly, with appropriate voice modulation, in English.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Understand customer issues and needs, with the ability to remain calm and de-escalate issues during calls.
  • Independent Problem-Solving: Demonstrate independent, flexible, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Managed Healthcare Contracts: Interpret and apply managed healthcare contracts to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Attentive Listening Skills: Listen attentively to customers, summarizing call details for seamless handoffs.

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

To excel in this role, consider having:

  • High School Education or Equivalent: A high school education or equivalent, with a strong foundation in communication, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • 1-2 Years of Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an inbound call center or customer service environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Knowledge of Hospital Patient Account Billing: Familiarity with hospital patient account billing and 3rd party reimbursements, with the ability to apply this knowledge to resolve customer inquiries.
