Assistant Store Manager, High-Volume Retail

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our busy retail location in Detroit, Michigan . This is a remote role, offering flexibility while ensuring the smooth operation of our store. You will be instrumental in driving sales, providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and developing a talented team. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership qualities, a passion for retail, and a keen eye for operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all day-to-day store operations. Drive sales performance by motivating the team and implementing effective sales strategies. Ensure a superior customer experience through attentive service and product knowledge. Support inventory management processes, including receiving, stocking, and conducting inventory counts. Assist with visual merchandising to create an attractive and engaging store environment. Train and mentor new and existing sales associates, fostering their development. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues effectively. Maintain store standards, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to brand guidelines. Assist with scheduling and staff management to ensure adequate floor coverage. Contribute to loss prevention efforts and ensure compliance with company policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree is a plus. 2-4 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role. Strong sales and customer service aptitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment. Proficiency with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills. Knowledge of inventory control and visual merchandising techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed for remote oversight. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team. A genuine interest in retail and helping customers find what they need.
