Position Description: Our Access Manager (Expert) plays a significant role in the planning and execution of off-net vendor access solutions. This role is responsible for the development of competitive access solutions from quoting to ordering; including validation of customer off-net requirements, pricing request and negotiation with vendors, internal guidance addressing optimal solutions, and supplying/supporting vendor expense information for ordering. This role is essential in the off-net quoting to ordering workflow, helping the organization maintain speed-to-market while ensuring quote quality and vendor alignment. The ideal candidate will bring a foundational understanding of telecom access services and a commitment to process accuracy, cost awareness, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Pre- and Post-Sales Quote Management & Execution Coordinate quote submissions to off-net access vendors for customer-driven requests. Gather, validate, and organize vendor quote responses, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal formatting and documentation standards. Support both single-site and multi-site quoting efforts, various diversity requests, standard and ad-hoc access configurations. Validate and refresh vendor quoted services for post-sales requirements Confirm and update systems with vendor information in preparation for post-sales ordering Re-engage due to vendor order jeopardy and provide alternate vendor options Vendor & Data SupportMaintain accurate pricing and quoting records in internal systems and tools. Track and organize vendor responses and performance metrics for pre-sales support and sourcing optimization. Contribute to the upkeep of shared market intelligence databases, pricing catalogs, and quoting documentation. Participate in vendor performance assessments including the assessment of pre-sales quoting performance Process Improvement & CollaborationFollow established quoting workflows and assist in identifying areas of improvement in speed, accuracy, and vendor consistency. Partner with internal teams including Sales, Sales Engineering, and Carrier Relations to ensure quote accuracy and feasibility. Participate in projects related to automation, quote formatting improvements, or vendor onboarding documentation. Cost Awareness & OptimizationSupport quoting strategies that help the business reduce off-net access costs through informed sourcing. Assist in analyzing vendor quote trends and flag potential areas of overpricing or cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; preferred majors include Telecommunications, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or Business. One to three (1-3) years of experience in telecom quoting, supply chain operations, carrier management, or procurement. Familiarity with Type II (off-net) access providers and telecom quoting processes preferred. Basic understanding of telecom network services, including Ethernet and fiber access. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools for data entry and analysis; CRM or quoting software experience a plus. Negotiation skills Cross-functional teams experience and capabilities Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
