We are currently seeking a Platform/DevOps Engineer to add to our team. Accountability Summary As a Platform Engineer, you'll join the Software Development Team and help scale cloud operations across AWS and DigitalOcean. This role involves designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and collaborating with development teams to ensure reliable, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving containerized applications, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes orchestration while ensuring high availability and optimal performance of React, Node.js, PHP, and Python applications. Duties and Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure across AWS and DigitalOcean cloud platforms. Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration of React, Node.js, PHP, and Python applications. Maintain and enhance Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines integrated with Bitbucket repositories. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Manage Docker containerization, optimizing images for security, performance, and deployment efficiency. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments. Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions across all environments. Respond to system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and maintain disaster recovery procedures. Ensure security best practices across cloud infrastructure, including secrets management and access controls. Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment readiness. Conduct capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance tuning across cloud resources. Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures. Configure and troubleshoot email delivery systems, including email gateways and security protocols. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, CloudOps, or SysOps roles. Strong expertise with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, VPC, IAM). Experience with DigitalOcean droplets, load balancers, and managed databases. Proficiency with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration in production environments. Hands-on experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management and automation. Knowledge of email delivery systems, email gateways and email security protocols. Understanding of security tools and protocols for email and application security. Knowledge of Bitbucket and Git-based workflows for source code management. Understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and CDN management. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar). Strong problem-solving abilities and experience with incident response. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with development teams. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with security scanning tools and compliance frameworks. AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator). Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS). Experience with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies. Knowledge of database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB). Experience with log aggregation and analysis tools (ELK stack). Experience with cost optimization. Background in software development or advanced scripting (Python, Bash). Experience with web servers (Nginx, Apache) and reverse proxy configurations. Experience supporting Node.js, React, PHP, and Python applications in production. Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high availability architectures. Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps culture best practices.
