Key Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely and effective patient care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medication lists, and treatment plans
  • Entering data into electronic health records (EHRs) and other systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assisting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals with patient care tasks, such as medication counseling and education
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) in the state of Kentucky
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, medication management, and patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare software systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with data entry and electronic health records (EHRs)

  • Knowledge of pharmacy software systems, including Epic and Cerner
  • Certification in pharmacy technology or a related field
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, including hospitals, clinics, or retail pharmacies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
