Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Quality Control Standards and Guidelines team as a temporary intern. As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. Your expertise will help us make data-driven decisions, streamline processes, and enhance our competitive edge.

Responsibilities and Expectations

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing and assisting others in the Quality Control team in ideal data collection, validation, and analysis on data components.
  • Helping to create and present results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
  • Assisting in exploring ad-hoc requests arising from emerging maintenance issues and providing logical answers to enable Senior Leaders to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
  • Presenting insights, trends, and potential recommendations by utilizing data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
  • Helping to create and disseminate specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
  • Identifying irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and conveying findings to the team.
  • Assessing the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors
  • Ensuring that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision
  • May perform other work duties as directed by Group Leader.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Business Analytics, or Statistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets with precision and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Alteryx.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with data representation devices and capacities, such as Scene, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is a plus.
  • Experience with PowerPoint to build presentations for verbal communications is a plus.
  • Past internship, capstone projects, and research coursework are a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
  • Ability to plan and support large business initiatives.
