VDC Modeler - CAD Technician

You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in. Ferguson is hiring for a Virtual Design & Construction Modeler / CAD Technician. This is a hybrid role based out of Newport News, VA HQ. Hybrid Schedule is 3 days in office (usually T, W, Th) and 2 days remote (usually M, F). We will consider remote for the right person who is not located in the Newport News, VA area.
Responsibilities
- Learn engineering and design fundamentals of piping systems
- Learn fabrication workflows and estimating process
- Works closely with VDC Specialist to resolve clashes
- Participates in coordination meetings
- Produces shop drawings & other drafting deliverables
- Follows the BIM Execution Plan and internal coordination process
- Building/Manipulating Revit Families
Qualifications
- Experience with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (AutoCAD, Revit, Glue, Navisworks Manage, etc.) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with Revit is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teammates
- Strong motivation to succeed and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work setting
- Have a desire to learn and is coachable
- Willingness to learn mechanical & plumbing construction practices and understanding of Building Codes for Mechanical and Plumbing/Piping Systems

Pay Range: $19.47 - $31.74 Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles. This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
