Job Summary The Elite Job is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Coders based in the United States to join our remote healthcare operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who have a passion for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in medical documentation. The successful candidate will review, analyze, and assign the appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical procedures and diagnoses for proper billing and reimbursement. Working from home, you will ensure compliance with all coding guidelines, payer requirements, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret medical records to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.

  • *

Apply correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes according to federal and insurance guidelines.

  • *

Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and documentation standards.

  • *

Audit coded medical records to maintain accuracy and integrity in billing.

  • *

Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous documentation.

  • *

Submit coded data for billing and reimbursement in a timely manner.

  • *

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding rules, payer policies, and industry updates.

  • *

Participate in regular training sessions and compliance meetings.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • *

Valid CPC, CCS, or CCA certification from AAPC or AHIMA (mandatory).

  • *

In-depth understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • *

Strong communication and written English proficiency.

  • *

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • *

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Reliable computer, high-speed internet, and a quiet workspace for remote work.

  • *

Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience in inpatient, outpatient, or multi-specialty settings.

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth) preferred.

Exposure to medical auditing, compliance, or quality assurance is an added advantage.

  • Working Hours
  • *

Flexible remote work schedule (Full-Time or Part-Time).

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate different time zones if required.

Occasional weekend work during peak billing cycles.
