Staff Counsel Attorney – Construction Defect Litigation (FL) Fully Remote | 5–8 Years Experience

Staff Counsel Law Firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 5–8 years of Florida Construction Defect litigation experience to join our growing team. This fully remote position offers substantial autonomy, meaningful case responsibility, and a collaborative environment without billable hour requirements. Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage Construction Defect litigation cases from inception through resolution
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide accurate and well-reasoned advice to clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Prepare for, conduct, and attend inspections, depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
  • Coordinate with experts, consultants, carriers, and clients
  • Develop case strategy and provide detailed case evaluations
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and changes in insurance regulations that could impact cases.
  • Participate in team meetings, seminars, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your legal skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
  • Insurance Defense background with 5–8 years of Construction Defect Litigation experience in Florida
  • Experience representing developers, contractors, subcontractors, and/or design professionals and familiarity with construction experts and defect investigations
  • Experience handling complex discovery and motion practice
  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote setting
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
