Experienced Data Entry Technician – Court Administration and Operations Support

Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Data Entry Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Data entry of adoptions and name change information with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Checking files in and out on a daily basis, ensuring that all documents are properly stored and accessible
  • Pulling orders, filing appropriate documents into case files, distributing files to staff and/or judges as requested, ordering files, creating duplicate files as needed, and distributing daily docket
  • Answering the telephone, providing accurate information to callers, and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel as needed
  • Assisting customers, receiving and responding to inquiries and requests for assistance from customers, other County departments, agencies, and the public
  • Preparing, typing, processing, copying, filing, and/or transmitting various documents, including judgments, court orders, civil/criminal records, reports, logs, lists, correspondence, and memos
  • Performing other routine clerical work, including but not limited to copying and filing documents, sending and receiving faxes, assembling materials, and attending staff and County meetings as required
  • Attending training, meetings, seminars, and/or workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by formal training, special courses, or self-education equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training in data processing, clerical studies, or a closely related field
  • Over one year and up to and including two years of office experience
  • Notary Public certification
  • A valid state driver's license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb step stools/ladders daily

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a court administration or government setting
  • Proficiency in court management software and systems
  • Knowledge of court procedures and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
