Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Big Data Software Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a Senior Big Data Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data processing systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Hadoop, Teradata, MongoDB, and AWS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead complex projects and initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and report on large-scale data processing systems, including data warehousing, ETL, and data analytics
- Audit complex technical challenges, requiring in-depth analysis of technologies and methodologies
- Resolve complex issues, leading a team to meet existing customer needs or potential new customer needs, utilizing strong understanding of capabilities, strategies, systems, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues, managers, and directors to resolve technical challenges and achieve objectives
- Lead tasks and serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to arenaflex's coding standards
Required Capabilities
* 3+ years of programming experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of active experience with Hadoop
- 3+ years of experience with Teradata
- 3+ years of experience with MongoDB
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of experience with GitHub and Bitbucket
- 3+ years of experience planning, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting for projects and activities
- 3+ years of experience with Python and Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
- 3+ years of experience with Ansible
Preferred Capabilities
* Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) across all levels of technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a proactive attitude
- Experience in designing ETL data streams using mapping/work processes to extract data from SQL Server and Data Relocation and Change from Prophet/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS
- Related experience working as a Programmer at arenaflex
