Job Description

As a Customer Service Representative for our non-profit support team, you will play a vital role in connecting people with the answers they need. You will work from home, responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered for the scholarship program.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to incoming calls from families and schools participating in the scholarship program

  • Assist with student inquiries, scholarship applications, and funding status
  • Provide accurate and timely information to callers, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and escalate concerns to supervisors as needed
  • Maintain a high level of empathy, personability, and compassion when interacting with callers, even in challenging situations
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls simultaneously
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call handling time, first-call resolution, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

* At least one year of customer service or call center experience

  • English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service experiences
  • Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during difficult or tense situations
  • Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation
  • Wired internet connectivity with internet speeds of 2 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download
  • Secure, quiet, distraction-free workspace

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
