Azure/Power Platform Data Engineer (Norfolk, VA) - Clearance Required

Job Description: We are hiring a Data Engineer to lead data migration and design the data layer for the new Power Platform ecosystem. This role will focus on migrating data from Oracle databases to Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Lake while ensuring integrity, performance, and security. Responsibilities include:
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
- Migrate and transform legacy Oracle schemas into Azure SQL and Dataverse.
- Optimize data models for Power Apps and Power BI consumption.
- Collaborate with Power Platform developers to design normalized, scalable data structures.
- Maintain data quality, governance, and compliance.
Here's what you need:
- 5 years in data engineering and database design.
- Strong experience with Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, and Data Factory.
- Proficiency in SQL, performance tuning, and schema optimization.
- Familiarity with Oracle database migration strategies.
- Experience enabling Power BI/Power Apps through optimized data models.

- Bachelor's degree
Work Schedule:
- Hybrid/mostly remote with the ability to attend meetings in Norfolk during business hours with little notice.
