QA Engineer, Mobile & Telematics Platform

Remote · USA Full-time New today

About Damoov Damoov is a global API-first telematics and mobility platform used by logistics companies, fleet operators, insurance providers, mobility tech startups, OEMs, and app builders. Our SDK and APIs support driving behavior analysis, real-time location and route analytics, incident detection, and telematics intelligence as a service. About the role We’re looking for a QA Engineer, Mobile & Telematics Platform to help ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of Damoov’s products across mobile, platform, and telematics-related workflows. This role is focused on testing products that operate in complex real-world conditions, including different mobile devices, environments, sensors, and usage patterns. You will help validate product behavior, identify issues before release, and improve confidence in how Damoov’s platform performs across customer-facing use cases. This is a strong fit for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, structured in their work, and interested in testing products that combine software, mobile technology, and real-world data. What you’ll do Product and platform testing

  • Test Damoov’s mobile, SDK, API, and platform-related features across a range of use cases
  • Validate product behavior across different devices, operating systems, and real-world conditions
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs in a clear and structured way
  • Help ensure new features meet functional, usability, and reliability expectations before release

Test planning and execution

  • Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and regression checklists
  • Support manual testing across product updates, feature releases, and bug fixes
  • Help improve release confidence through structured validation and repeatable testing processes
  • Contribute to test coverage for key product areas such as trip detection, event handling, mobile behavior, and platform workflows

Cross-functional quality support

  • Work closely with product, engineering, and other internal teams to clarify expected behavior and investigate issues
  • Help prioritize defects based on severity, user impact, and product risk
  • Support smoother communication between testing, development, and release teams
  • Contribute feedback that helps improve product quality and user experience over time

Quality improvement and product reliability

  • Help surface recurring quality issues, edge cases, and weak points across the platform
  • Support testing in areas affected by device fragmentation, sensor differences, and field conditions
  • Contribute to better internal QA processes, documentation, and release readiness practices
  • Help strengthen quality standards as Damoov continues to scale its platform

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in QA, software testing, or a similar quality-focused role
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to testing
  • Ability to write clear bug reports, test cases, and validation notes
  • Experience testing software across web, mobile, API, or platform environments
  • Good understanding of how software behaves across different user flows and edge cases
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with product and engineering teams
  • Comfort working in a lean, fast-moving environment
  • Interest in mobile technology, telematics, mobility, connected products, or B2B SaaS

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience testing mobile apps, SDKs, APIs, or platform products
  • Familiarity with telematics, geolocation, sensor-based systems, or real-time data products
  • Experience with regression testing, test management tools, and issue tracking systems
  • Understanding of real-device testing and mobile behavior across iOS and Android
  • Interest in automation testing is a plus

Why join Damoov

  • Work on products with real-world impact across mobility, fleet, logistics, and insurance
  • Help improve quality in a technically meaningful platform environment
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams
  • Have visible impact on reliability, release quality, and user trust
