Job Title: Oracle/MySQL DBA + AWS Migration Expert Experience: 10–15 Years Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $120k+ Benefits Oracle DBA + AWS Migration (DMS/ SCT) + Terraform (IAC) + Lambda + Python/Shell Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle/MySQL Database Administrator with deep AWS migration expertise. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS using AWS DMS, AWS SCT, and modern cloud-native practices. This role requires strong technical leadership, deep database knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, cloud, and project teams to deliver seamless, low‑downtime migrations.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience (architecture, tuning, troubleshooting).
- Proven experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS.
- Strong expertise with:
AWS DMS (Database Migration Service) AWS SCT (Schema Conversion Tool) AWS cloud services
- Solid understanding of Oracle database internals, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell) for automation.
- Experience with Terraform (IaC) and AWS Lambda.
- Excellent communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- AWS Certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Database – Specialty
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Oracle DBA Certifications.
