Remote Senior Compliance Coordinator (East Coast)

The Senior Compliance Coordinator is responsible for executing day-to-day compliance activities for assigned markets. This role ensures properties meet regulatory requirements and that documentation, licensing, and renewals are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role critical to maintaining regulatory standing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply for city and county licenses and permits
  • Track renewals, deadlines, and compliance requirements
  • Maintain accurate compliance documentation and systems
  • Research and document local regulations and ordinances
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations and Market teams to resolve compliance gaps
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory inquiries
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process optimizations
  • Remain current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the role
  • Contribute to a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement
  • Flag compliance risks and escalate issues appropriately
  • Assist with onboarding new properties and markets
  • Support larger compliance initiatives during peak periods
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in hospitality, vacation rental or similar industry
  • Basic understanding of permitting and regulations
  • Experience in filling out numerous applications a day
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in highly ambiguous environments
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
  • 3–5+ years of compliance, regulatory, or administrative experience
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven work
  • Comfortable working across systems and documentation
  • Attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications; comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software systems.
  • Comfortable talking to people and being able to share complex information in a way that is clear, thoughtful, and easy to understand
