Assistant Director- Development - Houston Public Media
Houston Public Media is hiring an Assistant Director- Development. The role involves managing a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, identifying and soliciting donors, and potentially planning and implementing annual fund programs or other advancement activities to support university-wide initiatives or specific colleges. Highlights
- Manages donor and prospect portfolio mainly at the $10,000+ level.
- Identifies, cultivates, solicits prospects, and stewards donors with collaboration from faculty, staff, and volunteers.
- May plan and implement annual fund programs such as direct mail, telemarketing, or parent campaigns.
- Responsible for creating and executing development plans for assigned college or unit if applicable.
- Coordinates advancement activities including alumni relations, publications, special events, and media relations.
- Requires a four-year degree or equivalent specialized training; one year of related experience is required.
- Education may be accepted in lieu of experience and vice versa.
- Must meet performance metrics of approximately 10-12 donor meetings per month.
- Reports to and fundraises for Houston Public Media; media experience is a plus.
- Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
