Nurse Practitioner; NP
Position: Nurse Practitioner (NP) Palmetto Infusion provides comprehensive ambulatory and home-based infusion services to both acute and chronically ill patients. Our centers care for people by providing patients and their families with a convenient, affordable, and safe place to receive infusion treatments. About the Role The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Practitioner is to provide oversight for infusions being administered in our ambulatory infusion centers. Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Saturdays as needed. Service Areas: Wilmington, NC and may float to other clinics as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program and hold an Active Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state(s) of practice.
- Experience in a family physician setting; possesses strong knowledge of chronic disease states as well as current and emerging therapies.
- BLS or obtain upon hire.
- Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
- Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.
Essential Functions
- Assist with managing adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
- Assist with policy, procedure, and protocol development as needed.
- Work as a team member with all members of PIS, alongside nurses and other NPs/MDs.
- Perform nursing functions as needed.
- Oversee the infusions being administered in the AIC.
- Travel to other AICs when needed for staffing coverage.
- Maintain strong knowledge of all existing and developing infusion therapies.
