Research Attorney (Litigation Support) Location: California (Remote) We’re seeking a skilled Research Attorney to join a well-established law firm supporting a busy litigation team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys in-depth legal research, drafting, and analytical work, with minimal courtroom involvement. You’ll play a key role in building strong legal arguments and supporting trial attorneys behind the scenes in a collaborative environment. Role Expectations:

  • Primarily a research-focused (computer-based) role, supporting trial attorneys with minimal courtroom involvement
  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda
  • Support trial attorneys with case strategy, legal analysis, and issue spotting
  • Assist in motion practice, discovery support, and trial preparation
  • Summarize complex legal issues into clear, concise written work product
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active California Bar admission (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in legal research and writing
  • Strong background in litigation (family law experience required)
  • Excellent legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $175,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
