Binding Authority Underwriter-Florida
This position is primarily responsible for soliciting relationships with retail insurance agents in the state of Florida, growing a book of binding authority business. This role would be a Florida based role either remote or hybrid to one of our Florida offices. Primary Job Responsibilities
- Develop retail agent relationships and drive submission flow.
- Master our portfolio of binding authority carriers to deliver elite underwriting expertise and fast turnaround times.
- Deliver high quality underwriting acumen to drive profitable production within carrier appetites and guidelines.
- Consistently engage retail client base to uncover growth opportunities and ensure premier client service experience.
- Respond to questions from agents via telephone, email, etc.
- Provide prompt and courteous service
- Develop and maintain retail agent and carrier relationships
- Assist support staff and resolve problems and questions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Competencies: Communication Skills; Information Seeking; Influencing Others; Problem Solving; Results Orientation; Knowledge of Insurance Terminology and Practices
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the insurance industry
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, High School Diploma required.
- Target base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000
