About the position Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, and Basecamp Fitness, is seeking a Remodel Project Manager to join its Purpose Brands team. The Remodel Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-impact remodels, renovations, and store expansions across a multi-brand portfolio. This role directs the full project lifecycle starting with initial planning, through design coordination, construction execution, and final turnover. As a key cross-functional leader, the Remodel Project Manager aligns stakeholders across operations, design, construction, real estate, technology, finance, and executive leadership to ensure seamless execution. The role balances strategic objectives with operational realities, safeguarding business continuity while delivering projects on schedule, within approved capital budgets, and in strict adherence to the brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of franchise remodels and expansions across a multi-brand portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise growth objectives and brand strategies
  • Establish and govern comprehensive project scopes, timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables in close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Drive disciplined project oversight by monitoring performance against key milestones, proactively mitigating risks, resolving constraints, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Direct competitive bidding, procurement, and complex contract negotiations with general contractors and vendors to optimize cost efficiency, quality standards, and long-term partnerships
  • Serve as the liaison for franchise owners throughout project execution, providing strategic guidance, maintaining transparency, and ensuring strict adherence to brand standards while protecting the franchisee relationship and investment
  • Champion cross-departmental integration among Compliance, Design, Construction, Real Estate, Operations, and Technology to ensure operational continuity and synchronized project outcomes
  • Facilitate project governance including kick-offs, status reviews, working sessions, steering committee meetings, and post-project retrospectives to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Implement structured risk management practices to identify, assess, and manage issues, dependencies, and operational impacts throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Maintain centralized, audit-ready project documentation and reporting systems to ensure transparency, compliance, knowledge transfer, and scalability across the remodel program

Requirements

  • Proven ability to influence and drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Capability to establish structure, organize complex workstreams, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent collaboration, leadership, and communication
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, results oriented culture, across multiple franchise brands
  • Flexible and adaptable; ability to navigate and succeed in situations of ambiguity and change
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • 3+ years project management experience managing medium to large-scale projects or programs

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a franchise environment preferred
  • Experience in the fitness / beauty industry preferred
