People Ops Generalist

POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented People Ops Generalist to join our People Operations team. In this role, you will be an essential partner to employees and managers alike, supporting the day-to-day operations that keep our people programs running smoothly. You bring solid HR fundamentals, a service mindset, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Support day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and status changes. Serve as a responsive first point of contact for employee and manager questions on HR policies, benefits, and People Ops processes. Assist managers with performance management documentation, PIPs, and coaching on standard HR processes. Maintain HRIS data accuracy, run regular people data reports, and contribute to ongoing metrics tracking. Rippling experience is a plus. Execute cyclical People Ops programs, including performance review coordination, engagement survey logistics, and compensation planning support. Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver a seamless onboarding experience. Maintain and update HR policies, the employee handbook, and compliance documentation across US, Canada, and UK jurisdictions. Support internal communications and logistics for organizational changes, role transitions, and other HR initiatives. Ensure day-to-day compliance with employment law and company policy across a remote-distributed workforce. QUALIFICATIONS 3–5 years of HR or People Ops experience, preferably in a SaaS or high-growth technology company. Solid foundation in core HR functions: onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, BambooHR, Workday) and comfort working with people data and reporting tools. Working knowledge of US employment law; exposure to Canadian and/or UK requirements is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote-first environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills; you can explain HR concepts empathetically to employees at all levels. High discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information. SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification is a plus, not a requirement.
