Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team on a temporary basis, with excellent potential for permanent employment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer support to our clients, answering calls and responding to queries, and assisting customers with medical insurance questions. This is an ideal opportunity to pivot your customer service expertise into the dynamic healthcare industry and work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional customer support by answering calls and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting customers with medical insurance questions, ensuring each interaction is handled with respect and patience
  • Accurately documenting call content in real-time to ensure seamless communication and record-keeping
  • Providing solutions to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a fair and timely manner
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer issues
  • Staying up-to-date with product knowledge and industry developments to provide informed and accurate responses to customer inquiries

Schedule

As a Customer Service Representative, you will work from home, and your schedule will be as follows:

  • Work Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Training: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM (approximately the first 2 weeks)
  • Note: Rotating holidays as needed

Compensation and Benefits

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be a New York State resident
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least 1 year of customer service experience in a call center or similar environment
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Have basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a related field
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with CRM software or similar systems
